Indian government proposes relaxation of transit visa to foreigners

Indian government along with tourism ministry is planning to relax visa rules so that foreign tourists could soon make a quick tour to Agra to see the Taj Mahal or to Jaipur for a glimpse of the Hawa Mahal.
 
The government plans to propose a transit visa for 48 to 72 hours to encourage these foreign tourists to plan a quick stopover in India. The scheme could be implemented initially in Delhi and Mumbai in coming months.

US introduces New Visa process for Indians

In order to attract more visitors from India, US have introduced a new visa processing system, with an aim to offer maximum visas in the minimum time possible. 
 
India stands in the 12 position for inbound tourism to the United States of America. US want to bring up the Indian position to the top ten and hence have introduced new visa proceedings.

Tourists from 45 countries can now enjoy visa-free stay in Beijing and Shanghai

In order to attract more transit visitors to shop in Chinese markets, China is providing travelers from 45 countries 72-hour visa-free stay policy in Beijing and Shanghai. 
 
However, the new visa policy is not applicable to India, Pakistan or any South Asian countries. It is mostly extended to the US, Japan and European countries.

Chinese Visa Application Service Center opens in Kolkata

The Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Kolkata, India has introduced a new facility for collection of visa applications and delivery service with the appointment of VFS Global, the world’s largest outsourcing and technology services specialist for diplomatic missions and governments worldwide.
 
VFS Global will operate the new Chinese Visa Application Service Center at Salt Lake in Kolkata.
